Mad Dog Mcrea Weekender

Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th May, Exeter Phoenix

If it's live music, with a rather rebellious spirit, you're seeking then the Mad Dog Mcrea Weekender brings three evening of fun and dancing to Exeter Phoenix. Folk-punk legends Mad Dog Mcrea have picked acts from across the musical stratosphere, with lively performances from The Barefoot Bandit, Ríoghnach Connolly, Honeyfeet, Captain Accident & The Disasters, The Great Malarkey, True Strays, and of course Mad Dog Mcrea themselves. Day and weekend tickets are available so get them before they sell out.

Abseil Fundraising Fun Day 

Saturday 4th May, Exeter Cathedral

Your eyes aren't deceiving you if you spot people descending from the heavens this weekend as Exeter Cathedral is hosting a charity abseil. The adventure starts from the Cathedral’s Norman North Tower and it's all in the name of charity to help raise funds for the building of a new Cloister Gallery. For those keeping their feet firmly on the ground then enjoy lots of fun activities, including football, demonstrations from the Exeter Cathedral flower arrangers, organ recitals, sound walks and the Exeter Independent Market from 11am.

Red Coat Guided Tours - Exeter Blitz (Special Tour)

Saturday 4th May, 11:15am and 3pm

Discover how Exeter was affected by the air raids of 4 May 1942 and find out about the devastating Baedeker raids on this annual commemoration and how this event shaped the city we see today. This is a free, special tour hosted by the Red Coat Guides so please note booking is necessary as it is expected to be very popular.

Shakespeare at St Nicholas Priory

Friday 3rd May

Join experienced actors for a script-in hand reading of William Shakespeare's 'Measure for Measure' at Exeter's oldest building.
