There is so much to see and do in Exeter, you’ll have no trouble creating a social programme to inspire your delegates. You may even need to extend your stay to fit it all in! Here are some suggestions for a one day itinerary to get the most out of your visit to Exeter.
Morning
Start your visit in the heart of the city at Exeter’s stunning Cathedral, then join a Red Coat Guided Tour to find out more about Exeter’s turbulent history from the knowledgeable guides.
Lunch
The options are almost endless… either stay at RAMM to enjoy locally sourced food in the café, walk along Queen Street to a great variety of popular restaurants in Queen St Dining or Princesshay, or seek out one of the city’s high quality independent restaurants, such as Harry’s or Rendezvous.
Afternoon
Visit the Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery (RAMM) with a guided tour of the displays, then squeeze in a guided tour of the medieval Underground Passages, one not to miss as they are one of the only attractions of their kind in the UK.
Evening
Take an early evening stroll down to Exeter Quayside, a 10-15 minute walk from the city centre. Choose one of the waterside pubs for dinner with a view of the River Exe, one of the most beautiful parts of the city.
