Morning
What better way to get a first impression of Exeter than with a birds eye view from the rooftop of Exeter Cathedral? Join an experienced guide for a tour of the roof space and tower of this magnificent, 900 year old building.

Lunch
Just across Cathedral Green you will find charming traditional tea shop, Eat on the Green, whose menu largely features locally sourced produce. Enjoy traditional English fish and chips, with views of the Cathedral.

Afternoon
Time to work off lunch - head to Exeter Quayside for some paddle boarding on the calm waters of Exeter's canal basin, with AS Watersports.

Early evening
Make your way to the stunning Lympstone Manor. Set beside the River Exe Estuary in 28 acres of gardens, grounds and parkland, this Grade II listed Georgian country house hotel is the vision of Michael Caines MBE. Enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail overlooking the newly planted vineyard and out across the water.
Dinner
Stay at Lympstone Manor for an acclaimed fine dining experience, or head back to Exeter for dinner and an overnight stay at one of the city's boutique hotels, such as Hotel Indigo or Hotel Du Vin.
Morning
After breakfast, catch a train to Exmouth with GWR, on the scenic Avocet rail journey. On arrival in Exmouth, walk to the Marina to catch a water taxi to the River Exe Cafe, situated on a floating pontoon in the middle of the River Exe Estuary. The café uses the freshest local food, maximising the use of some of the finest food & drink producers in Devon. There is a special emphasis on seafood, some of which is delivered by boat directly from the fishermen!
Evening
It's back to Exeter and dinner in the intimate setting of Rendezvous, an independently owned restauarant and wine bar serving locally inspired cuisine.
Morning
Time to explore some of Exeter's 2,000 year history. Take a guided tour of Exeter's medieval Underground Passages, join a free guided walking tour of the city with the Red Coat Guides, or explore 16 galleries of exhibits at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, with free admission.
Lunch
Head to Queen St Dining for a choice of eateries offering a wide range of cuisines. Enjoy locally sourced produce on the menu at the rooftop restaurant at the Terrace.
Afternoon
Head out of the city to Quickes Farm, where the Quicke family have been producing outstanding cloth bound cheeses using traditional recipes and time honoured techniques passed down through five generations. Take a tour of the farm and take home some cheese to enjoy later.
On the way back to Exeter, stop off at the Exeter Brewery, for a brewery tour and ale tasting. The Brewery brews all its real ales on site.
Dinner
Visit Harry's Restaurant on Longbrook Street, a long-established family-run restaurant regarded as one of Exeter’s best. The restaurant supports local producers and features locally reared meats, locally caught fish and seasonal fruit and vegetables on its menu.
