ExeAccess is located at 8 - 10 Paris Street, part of the Princesshay Quarter and convenient for the bus station and city centre shops. Operated by Exeter Community Transport Association (ECTA), ExeAccess is for anyone, any age, no matter whether their mobility problem is temporary or permanent.
As ExeAccess is part of a registered charity, donations are always welcome. The service is available to residents and visitors in Exeter. Free parking for ExeAccess users is available on level three of the Princesshay Car Park.
ExeAccess hire wheelchairs and motorised scooters to improve access to the city centre. A charge of £7 per day is payable for the loan of a wheelchair or scooter. Open Monday - Saturday, 10am - 4pm.
ECTA operates a Ring & Ride service, providing a door-to-door, wheelchair accessible minibus service for people who are having difficulty using local buses.
ECTA also operate ‘City Sights’ which has been designed to provide a service to aid blind and sight impaired people access the city, with the help of a trained volunteer as their guide. The service can be used to assist with shopping, accessing entertainment facilities, going for coffee, visiting attractions and many other activities which require assistance to get there and get around. It is available to both visitors and residents of Exeter.
ECTA also hire a Tramper vehicle to people visiting the city. Areas that were difficult to reach are now within the Tramper's scope. The Tramper is a great way to get around Exeter and surrounding areas - up to 30 miles can be reached depending on terrain. Some of the accessible areas around Exeter are: Exeter Quay, Exe Bridge Retail Park, Marsh Barton, the University of Exeter, Northcott Theatre, Medieval Exe Bridge, Double Locks and Topsham.
