October Half Term

Find out what's on this October half-term in Exeter (26th October - 3rd November), from spooky Halloween goings-on to thrilling indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family. 

Halloween at Crealy Theme Park returns with their popular Spook-Fest and unleashes three NEW attractions to unsuspecting visitors, alongside lots of family favourites and entertainment to scare you silly.

There'll be ghostly going-ons and plenty of family-friendly fun at RAMM throughout half-term, which will keep young ones in high spirits, while Exeter Cathedral is always a great option and offers an array of events for all ages.

A real family favourite, and completely unique experience, is a visit to Exeter's Underground Passages. Narrow, dark, interesting and exciting, these are the only passages of this kind open to the public in Britain!

For any young aspiring actors and actresses, and those with a creative touch, the Barnfield Theatre is hosting a half-term theatre week and for those a little older (16+) there's 'Shakespeare for Everyone' 

Speaking of theatre-land and there's a great selection of performers treading the boards during half-term at the Northcott Theatre and Exeter Phoenix. Music, comedy, drama - we've got it all and there's something for everyone to enjoy. 

There are plenty of opportunities to explore the great outdoors this October half-term and discover a new part of our city that you haven’t visited yet. Exeter has been voted the ninth greenest city in the UK, meaning there are endless opportunities to go for a gentle stroll, feel the wind through your hair on a bike ride and visit picture-perfect parks and gardens that are ideal for picnics!

Exeter's location in the heart of Devon means that we’re only a short distance from glorious, sandy beaches and the beautiful Dartmoor National Park! Haldon Forest is just on the outskirts of our city, with cycling and walking trails accompanied by spectacular views along the way. 

It's all aboard The Story Tram at Seaton Tramway as you ride from Seaton to Colyton, inspiring big imaginations, themed stores and action songs along the way. The World of Country Life, The Donkey Sanctuary and Wildwood Escot are unmissable during a family visit to Exeter - these popular attractions are homes to amazing rides, outdoor play areas and plenty of friendly animals waiting to meet you. Don't miss a visit to Paignton Zoo this half term as kids go free!
