See our website for the best deals and a great stay when visiting Exeter and Devon!
TripAdvisor 2022 Travelers’ Choice Award! Reviewers rate us highly on our friendly service, great food, location, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
Located in a quiet corner of Exeter’s historic city centre, we are a 10-minute walk or less to Exeter St David’s & Central rail stations, as well as the High Street and the University of Exeter’s Streatham campus. Rates include B&B and ‘room only’ options to suit your tastes.
Townhouse Exeter is a contemporary guesthouse with nine bedrooms to choose from – Superior King, Standard Kings, Doubles, Twin, Triple and Singles – all en-suite with showers (except for one single which has a separate, but private bathroom / bathtub). Our property is a Grade II listed, 150-year-old, High Gothic Victorian with rooms housed over 3 floors and a mix of period and contemporary features and furniture.
We’ve pushed our comfort levels to the max!
Relax with Hypnos beds, ‘Finer than Down’ duvets & pillows, fluffy bath sheets, and complimentary Cole & Lewis toiletries. There’s even free high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and Roberts DAB/Bluetooth radios for when you absolutely must work or stream your favourite movie or song, along with USB charging points to keep you going!
Breakfast in your pyjamas is our thing!
If booking B&B, our Breakfast Trio Hamper is delivered fresh to your door every morning to pamper you with a tasty in-room breakfast. Think buttery croissants, homemade breakfast pots of Greek yoghurt topped with fresh fruit and nuts, and a baked Townhouse Treat to put a smile on your face. We have gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan offerings too!
You can also enjoy wine, beer, and bubbles in our intimate early evening resident’s bar.
Want to see Exeter?
A great city break is just on our doorsteps. Exeter is full of history, shopping, attractions, delightful food and drinks, water sports, walks and cycling trails. Might we suggest the temptations of the High Street, the views on Cathedral Green, canoeing or bicycling at the Quay and afternoon strolls along the estuary at nearby Topsham!
Want to see more of Devon & the South West?
Whether it’s incredible walks in Dartmoor or the Jurassic Coast; day trips to the sea at Torbay or Dartmouth, or the beaches at Exmouth or along the South Devon coastline, we’ve got you covered. And don’t worry, the Eden Project and Cornwall are 1-1/2 hours away.
