Just minutes by train from Exeter city centre to match day, an outing to watch Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park is always a great occasion to share with friends and family.
Arrive early to grab a pint and pasty, then stay on after the game to continue the celebrations in the bar with live music. For the ultimate rugby day out, book a pre-match dining experience.
Travel by train with GWR
Forget the car as travelling to Sandy Park by train is quick and easy, taking no more then ten minutes which means you can start the rugby chat earlier with other supporters! Simply jump on the Exeter to Exmouth railway line which has a regular service on match days. It's then just a ten minute walk with other supporters from Digby & Sowton station to the ground. Another option is to alight at Newcourt Station, which is a slightly longer walk to Sandy Park. Check out GWR for match day timetables.
When final whistle blows then head back into Exeter city centre for dinner at one of the city's fantastic local pubs, such as the Old Firehouse, or the Turks Head, where it's more than likely you'll bump into other rugby fans for a post-match analysis over a few drinks!
