Microbrewery experience and tours
At the heart of the Turk's Head lies a microbrewery, a testament to its dedication to crafting exceptional libations. Expert brewers tirelessly hone their craft, carefully crafting each brew with passion and expertise, resulting in an impressive selection of handcrafted ales and lagers that are sure to delight even the most discerning palates. You’ll find their brews on both bars, including their flagship IPA, Fat Boy, which was one of their first experiments and now a legendary tipple. If you're not sure what to drink then don’t worry as they'll guide you through their latest brews and if you still can’t choose, they’ll offer you a tasting board of 3 delicious beers to sip, gulp and glug. If you’re lucky and the tank room is available, the team can give you a peek inside, to see where the beers are made.
If you've ever fancied yourself as a brewer then you can put yourself to the test with their incredible Brewery Experience Day. Kick off the day with breakfast and introductions with brewers Tilly and Simon, followed by a complete brew day, from start to finish – with lunch included of course!
Topped off with a few well-deserved pints at the end, this truly is a fantastic opportunity for any beer enthusiast.
You can also go behind the scenes and discover the secret of a perfect pint with a brewery tour, running Monday to Friday. Book your tour now for just £10 per person, which includes a pint so that's one heck of a bargain.
Legends and rumours intertwine with the pub's vibrant history, adding an air of mystique. It is even rumoured that many of his beloved characters were named after the colourful characters he encountered within these hallowed walls.
