May Half Term in Exeter

Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM) will have some special, family-friendly events during May half term, plus discover the 16 galleries of fascinating exhibits! Channel your inner gangster, sleuthing PI, or dashing adventurer and make your very own cardboard fedora on 27th May and dance into the glamorous world of 1920’s era Art Deco by designing and printing onto a tote bag to take home on 28th May.

If it's something creative your seeking for May half-term then Exeter Phoenix is the place to be. Get the whole family involved with a Family Animation Workshop on 27th May, take a magical journey through fairytales as you create your very own stories with all your favourite fairytale characters on 29th May, and you can even make some mad music with world record-breaking beatboxer SK Shlomo on 25th May. If you're a Swifty and have a Blank Space in your diary then Swiftogeddon: The Taylor Swift Club Night is perfect for you on 24th May.

Tunes in the Castle comes to Powderham from 22nd - 26th May, headlined by McFly, Dizzee Rascal and Blossoms, and the musical entertainment continues with Sidmouth Folk Festival from 24th - 26th May.

If you're feeling adventurous then reach new heights at the Quay Climbing Centre or rent a paddleboard, kayak or canoe at AS Watersports or Saddles and Paddles and try something new along Exeter Quay. The gorgeous river views are worth taking to the water for.

Don't forget to stop by our magnificent Exeter Cathedral, packed full of 900 years of history, this majestic building is one of the great cathedrals of England, and one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture to be found anywhere.

Why not try one of Exeter’s self-guided walks? Follow the City Wall Trail, Woollen Trail or Medieval Trail to learn about the city’s rich history while enjoying a walk around the beautiful city centre. All three trails even include puzzles and quizzes for the little ones, so be sure to bring a pen and paper.
