South West Does It Best, a day festival celebrating over 5 years of local music support from Studio 54 Exeter & The Rock Project Devon.
This is an event of two halves; in the afternoon catch future generations of musical talent from The Rock Project Devon - there’s young bands, DJs, songwriters & broadcasters aged 7-18, they’ve been practicing hard to prepare an amazing show for you. Come ready to be inspired by the creativity and passion these young people display!
Following this, the evening brings a showcase of some of the best rising artists in the South West. Benny G, producer at Studio 54 Exeter has recently recorded all these acts, remarking ‘we’re living in the most exciting time for new music in the South West that I’ve ever seen, there’s so many strong, diverse acts to choose from that we’re going to have to hold yet another event as we simply couldn’t fit all the ones I wanted in!’
Further supporting this local music industry push the Cameron Mills Group (parent to Studio 54 Exeter & Rock Project Devon) has launched Creative Music Hub a community interest company, collaborating with Exeter Phoenix for a series of free artist development workshops aimed at young musicians. Named Amplify, industry professionals will provide advice on image, style, marketing, performance and production.
This is an incredible time for music and young people in the South West so don’t miss out, come along on the 8th of March and join in the movement!
