Date: Saturday 5th April 2025
Time: 13:00 – 15:30
Location: We will begin the walk from Mincinglake Valley Park car park.

Join Medical Herbalist, Yasmin Kerr, on an informative exploration of our local hedgerows
and meadows!
On the day, we will discuss key identification features of seasonal plants; delve into their
botanical folklore; and consider their historic and contemporary uses in Western Herbal
Medicine. Participants will learn how local plants can support them throughout the Spring
for common conditions such as hay fever.
Subject to availability, we will forage seasonal plants such as plantain, nettle, cleavers,
dandelion and more. Participants will harvest and brew their own Spring Tonic infusion!
Yasmin will also provide book recommendations and discuss some seasonal wild-food
recipes.
By the end of the walk participants will feel confident to identify, harvest and use seasonal
plants in food and herbal remedies for themselves and their loved ones.
So, come along, stretch your legs, connect with nature and some friendly strangers, learn
about what’s growing around us and how plants can support us throughout the seasons!
