From 12th April, Seaton Tramway will re-open its doors to visitors! Enjoy a family day out at South Devon Railway

Visit South Devon Railway's Buckfastleigh site this Easter from 12th April, for a day out in the fresh air within their 12-acre grounds! Let the kids enjoy the play area, relax within their picnic site and stroll along the riverside walk! The Lee Moor Tramway museum, north signal box and the gift & model shop will be open too. Please note - steam train journeys will resume from 17th May.

Despite the enforced closure of the last 12 months, the South Devon Railway has still managed to carry out considerable, necessary planned maintenance and improvement works all along the line, but using socially distanced workers. These jobs have ranged from preparing stations and signal boxes; clearing undergrowth and track repairs, to signalling, coach and loco repairs, plus endless cleaning and painting so that everything is ready for re-opening again.

Powderham Castle will be re-opening their grounds and Secret Garden on 2nd April, just in time for Easter half term! Visitors will be able to explore over the Easter holidays, then every weekend in April and May. The grounds will be closed again until the re-opening on 25th July!
