If you're on the hunt for some family fun this Easter then hop to it with our guide to the pick of the Easter egg trails that will get you all egg-cited!
From adventures down by Exeter Quay and a pirate quest at Crealy, to the beautiful natural surroundings of Canonteign Falls and Killerton, and many more - there's no bad eggs amongst this bunch of Easter egg trails but lots of lovely treats as a reward for completing them.
On The Waterfront
Dates: 31st March
A relaxing stroll along Exeter's historic Quayside is always a pleasant affair and this Easter there's going to be a super fun Easter Egg trail to follow around the Quay. Simply pick up your map from On The Waterfront and work your way along the trail, visiting all the amazing local businesses to find the hidden chicks and collect the stamps. Don't forget to collect your free Easter egg at the end.
Crealy Theme Park
Dates: 29th March - 14th April
Ahoy mateys! Gather yer crew for the ultimate pirate themed egg hunt at Crealy Theme Park this Easter. Included within the main ticket price, you'll also get to enjoy over 60 rides and and family attractions at the South West's number one family day out.
Mercure Exeter Rougemont Hotel
Dates: 29th March - 1st April
If you fancy catching up with your friends while the little ones get treated then the Mercure Exeter Rougemont Hotel is the place to be for 'Easter Egg Afternoon Tea'. Indulge in a selection of delicious sandwiches, tasty scones and chocolate treats all served alongside a steaming pot of traditional tea or a chocolate milkshake for the children. Don't forget to keep an eye out for hidden clues scattered throughout the venue to claim your Easter Egg.
Powderham
Dates: 29th and 31st March
Slip on your bunny ears and gather your basket, a weekend of Easter fun awaits as you help the Easter Bunny locate the missing eggs at Powderham. It's sure to be an egg-citing event, full of adventure and surprises that's suitable for children of all ages, plus you can bring your four-legged friend to help.
Canonteign Falls
Dates: 29th March - 14th April
It's not every day you get to embark on an exciting Easter egg hunt amidst fairies and ferns so a visit to Canonteign Falls will certainly be a memorable one. Explore 90 acres, seek out hidden eggs, and revel in the scenic waterfalls, serene lakes, and adventure play areas. Plus, be on the lookout for their brand-new family of willow Dinosaurs making their debut!
Cofton Holidays
Dates: 25th March - 7th April
Open to local day visitors and guests, go egg-splore with Cofton's Big Easter Egg Hunt. Simply pick up your hunting pack from their reception then let the Easter fun commence! Explore the area at your own leisure, all the while looking for eggs that hide special clues. If you're successful in your hunt then you'll be rewarded with a prize.
Bear Town
Dates: 29th March - 14th April
Bear Town’s Easter Bunny has been up to some mischief hiding eggs throughout the Town and needs help from some little bunnies to find them all. Get crackin' as once all the eggs have been found, all paid children will be rewarded with a very special Easter gift to take home and enjoy.
Seaton Tramway
Dates: 29th March - 1st April
It's all aboard the Seaton Tramway and a lots of family fun as you ride the Easter Egg-Tram-Aganza. Pick up an activity sheet (no extra charge) to help you find Gilbert the Station Master’s Goose and its Cheeky Chicks. Complete the sheet to win an Easter treat.
National Trust Killerton
Dates: 23rd March - 14th April
Hop to it and pull on your bunny ears as you explore the National Trust's Killerton grounds, completing activities along the way. You can even bring your four-legged friend to help. Simply pick up a dog friendly trail sheet from the visitor reception before heading off on an Easter adventure but remember to collect your egg at the end.
RHS Rosemoor
Dates: 29th March - 14th April
Enjoy a supersized family adventure at RHS Rosemoor this Easter by hunting down the larger-than-life eggs awaiting discovery in the spring garden and joining in the fun workshops and shows. Explorers of all ages can search for eggs throughout the garden –find them all you win a free chocolately treat!
Then there are lots of fabulous family activities scheduled to help you make the most of the holidays, ranging from free craft workshops to exciting science shows…
Free drop-in craft workshops, 3, 5, 8 & 9 April, 10.30am – 12.45pm and 2pm – 3.45pm:
Wednesday 3 April, Easter Bunny Face: Turn yourself into the Easter bunny and hop into the garden.
Friday 5 April, Springtime Decoration: Brighten your home by making a sparkling hanging decoration.
Monday 8 April, Clothes Peg Birds: Make your own multi coloured bird to peg up at home.
Tuesday 9 April, Daffodil Craft: Make long lasting flowers from paper to enjoy all year round. Workshops are in the Garden Room and are suitable for ages 3+ with adult supervision.

Keep an eye out for the Easter Bunny hopping around the garden to meet and greet families (suitable for ages 3+).
Thursday 4 April, Fiz Fun Science, 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm
A fun educational experience with plenty of audience participation highlighting chemistry in everyday life, suitable for ages 5 to 10, £3 per child.
Thursday 4 April, Really Wild Learning with Kim Insull, 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm
An amazing live animal show full of interesting and fun facts about creepy crawlies with a photo opportunity at the end for the adveturous! £3 per child.
Monday 8 April, Welly Walk, 10.30am–12noon, in the garden and Learning Centre
Enjoy a welly walk adventure followed by an Easter activity to take home and a relaxing drink to finish. £3 for 1 adult and 1 child; £3 for additional adult or child; suitable for children under 5.
It’s not all just for children either, time your visit to coincide with The Great Wool Weekend on Saturday 13 – Sunday 14 April and there is even more to see and do.
Discover new ways to use this sustainable and natural material practically and creatively in your life, getting inspiration from demonstrations, creative workshops and by meeting specialist textile artists and craftspeople.
