If your palate is craving something a little different then the 'World Foods' area will feature a mouth-watering array of street-food-style dishes, from fluffy bao buns and aromatic curries to vibrant Thai dishes.

For those with a sweet tooth then you'll be like a kid in a candy store as you choose from a delicious selection of creamy ice creams, sweet crepes, hot chocolate, indulgent fudge and plenty more.

Drink up

A food festival in name, it wouldn't be a proper festival unless there was a bountiful selection of drink offerings to complement the food. Sip on craft beers and distinctive ales, savour expertly locally distilled spirits, and enjoy refreshing artisanal soft drinks. Whether you’re in the mood for robust rums, zesty ginger beverages, or smooth liqueurs, there's something to delight all drinkers.

The Powderham Pub is also returning, serving up a refreshing selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Chilli eating contest

Amongst all the fun and entertainment there's some rather serious business taking place at Powderham Food Festival. One which calls upon people of a certain strong stomach to volunteer themselves for - the annual Chilli Eating Contest! The competition is sure to be hot, hot, hot and who will be crowned King of the Powderham Castle when it comes to chilli consumption?
