Crealy

Trick or treat yourself to a Crealy spooky day out this October as the popular Spook-Fest returns. With three NEW attractions for 2024 (The Hooded Wood, Buddy's Trick or Treat and The Tales of Transylvania Hotel) and the return of your favourite scare mazes, get ready for Crealy's most spine-tingling Spook-Fest yet. Dare you step foot inside the Creaky Hotel and see if you can make it to the other side of the Scarecrow Maze. Don’t miss Sooty, Sweep and Soo as they also get into the Halloween spirit in their Halloween Show.

Exeter Red Coat Guided Tours

Find out why Exeter is reputed to be one of the most haunted cities in the country with a Ghosts & Legends tour, Tuesday's at 7pm. Visit many of Exeter’s historic buildings and listen to chilling tales about their ghostly history. Fear not though as the tour is suitable for all ages and you'll be in the safe hands of our friendly Exeter Red Coat Guides.

St Nicholas Priory

If you're feeling really brave, join esteemed ghost hunter Dr Robin Knapman for a special Halloween event, taking you on a spine-chilling journey through the haunted halls and hidden chambers of St Nicholas Priory, one of Exeter's oldest and most mysterious buildings. From ghostly whispers in the dark, to objects moving on their own, you never know what you’ll encounter in the building’s shadowy depths.

Mercure Rougemont Hotel

The Mercure Rougemont Hotel is hosting a spooky Halloween children's party on 31st October with a buffet, treats and disco on offer. Get in the Halloween spirit by dressing up in something devilish or ghoulish as there'll be a costume contest. Call 01392 410237 to book or find out more.

Canonteign Falls

Canonteign Falls is transformed into a spooktacular playground for Halloween! Join in the spooky code-cracking trail as you search for clues around the site to unlock the safe and win a small prize. It’s the perfect activity for little adventurers and their four-legged friends. Fancy dress is welcome all week, so bring your best costumes and don’t forget to snap a pic in their spooky selfie booth. After your adventure, refuel at the café with some deliciously spooky treats. If that wasn’t enough adventure then the Alpaca Experience returns on 31st October.

Powderham

Create your very own little (friendly) monster and carve a Powderham pumpkin for just £3. You'll get to enjoy a one-hour session (11am to 3pm) to create your very own masterpiece and then take your new friend home to put on display. Carving kits are provided, so all you need to do is wrap up warm and get creative! There'll also be lots of harvest festivities taking place this October half term and your four-legged friends are always welcome to come along. 

Wildwood Devon

A wild Halloween adventure awaits as Wildwood Devon invites you to step into the eerie atmosphere of their ancient Saxon Village, where spooky crafts and ghostly games take place. Hear tales of the dark from mystic creatures, create your own haunted masterpieces, and test your courage in the spine-chilling scare maze, where you'll meet the Witch of Wildwood! There's the chance dress up in your most terrifying costume for a chance to win the Best Dressed Prize, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for any sneaky pumpkins popping up all around the park. 

Bear Town

All treats and no tricks as Happy Halloween comes to Bear Town during half-term. Alongside a fang-tastic two-hour play session, all children will be invited to take part in a Halloween hunt around the Town to locate the missing wicked bats, with the reward of a small sweet treat or Halloween sticker. There’ll also be lots of great photo opportunities, suitable for the youngest explorers, with only friendly ghosts invited to play along!

Killerton

October is all about Celebrating Orchards month at Killerton. Follow a trail around the garden to take part in seasonal games and activities, and join in with lots of fantastic autumn antics.

RHS Garden Rosemoor

Enjoy a rather wicked half term at RHS Garden Rosemoor with Halloween-inspired fun and activities for your little monsters. Follow the family garden trail and spot the ingredients for a witch’s potion to cast your own magic spell or craft your very own magic wand, Halloween lantern and spider headband. Let your imagination run wild by turning a pumpkin into a wicked plant or a woodland creature, and Professor Strange 'The Steampunk Magician' will also be making a special appearance.

Seaton Tramway

Join Seaton Tramway this Halloween for a spooktacular family adventure on the Trick or Treat Tram! Embark on a mystic tram ride through a journey filled with pumpkins, ghouls, and delightful surprises. Meet Jack O’Lantern, the lively pumpkin-headed guide, and hear the thrilling tale of how he was transformed by the mischievous witch Grizelda. There’s interactive storytelling with charming characters, a blend of spooky fun and funny moments, a meet-and-greet, and activities with the not-so-wicked witch Grizelda at Colyton and even a goody bag.

World of Country Life

Casting a spell of fun and laughter, something magical is happening at World of Country Life during October half-term. There'll be spooky Halloween activities including a fangtastic Halloween Trail and the ‘Goatbusters: Frozen Empire’ mini show is hilarious family fun, not to be missed! Pumpkin Carving is on Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st October with a free pumpkin for every family!

The Donkey Sanctuary

Trot along to the Donkey Sanctuary for their newest spooky adventure. Can you guess what a ‘trick’ or ‘treat’ looks like for the donkeys at the sanctuary? Find the items under the pumpkins and take a guess – is it a trick or is it a treat? Just £5 per trail, including a prize when you complete it. Plus, with a new bat beacon interactive exhibition, play area, daily talks, scenic walks, engaging displays and lots of adorable donkeys to meet, there’s so much to explore. Friendly dogs on leads are welcome.
