A new(ish) independent bookshop for Exeter. Bookbag stock a select range of fiction and non-fiction, art and nature, zines, children and teen books. They celebrate local-global stories, plus expect book and music pairings, and a mix of events.
Since opening in late 2020, Bookbag have become a much loved addition to the Exeter community. They've programmed events including author talks, book launches, open mic poetry, kids workshops, and a festival. They've curated booklists and pop-up shops for Exeter College, an Exeter theatre and museum, LGBTQ+ community events, and Africa Writes - Exeter.
Bookbag can order any book for collection from the bookshop, or for delivery. They offer a subscription service, gift vouchers, friendly recommendations and armchairs for in-store book browsing!
