Spinners, weavers, felters, knitters, crocheters and other fibre-focussed crafters are warmly invited to be part of the Wool and Fibre Weekend at RHS Rosemoor 12-13 April. Anyone who's ever wished they could be more creative will also find plenty of inspiration on how use this sustainable and natural material practically and creatively in their lives.
Watch live demonstrations, join a creative workshop and meet specialist textile artists and craftspeople in person at this popular event, now in its 5th year. Discover a new skill and browse wool, fibres, crafting materials and equipment, starter kits, books, clothing, bedding and gifts to take home from a wide array of exhibitors.
Follow the wool and yarn bunting trail in the spring garden to find the free hands-on, drop-in craft sessions in the Learning Centre. Whether you chose to make a felt keychain, French knit a bracelet or to create abstract yarn art, you'll learn new skills and make something to take home with you!
Then browse the traders participating in the sold out indoor craft fair in the Garden Room including Amanda Primrose , Beth Philpot Textile Artist, British Wool Association, BuntyBee, Chloe Morter Design, Coldharbour Mill, Dartmoorweaver, Devon Craft Workshops, Flora Percival, Gill Sargeant 'Essence of Art', Halsbury Barton, Hardicott Shetlands, HeartfeltbySanji, Hooking Marvellous Yarns, Jillian Morris Textile Designs, Jo Hunter Wearable Art, KateE Crafts, Kathryn Morgan Designs, Lord and Taft, Maggie Harbour, Middle Campscott/Incledon Ltd, Noteworthy Mohair, Southdown Duvets, Spindernella, The Lace Knittery, The Left Hookery, Welcombe Spinners, Wendy Greaves Textiles, Westcountrywool and YARNS of Holsworthy.
There is something for all the family with special guest appearances from some gorgeous woolly animals from local breeders (Snook Goats from Noteworthy Farm, Melken Jacobs and Churdon Fibre Flock, Lakemoor Alpacas) as well as fun costume character sheep to meet! Children can also turn 'detective' and seek out the colourful eggs hidden in the beautiful gardens to crack the Easter egg-nigma Code (£2.50 code cracker pack required).
So add this stimulating showcase of wool crafts, materials, techniques and more to your diary – save time and money on the door by booking in advance.
