Sand animation is a form of art, when an artist creates live pictures on sand replacing one another in a semi-dark atmosphere accompanied by music and storytelling (bilingual – Ukrainian and English)

You have the unique opportunity to see the type of art that has been widely used in Ukraine since 2006.

About the artist: Oksana Merhut is the head of the Art Centre of Animation, laureate of the Order of the First President of Ukraine "Guardian of Ukraine", laureate of Ukrainian and International Art Competitions, founder of the First Professional School of Sand Animation.

Oksana Merhut has been performing since 2014. Known as the Sand Fairy of Ukraine, Oksana has performed all over the world with her sand shows of well-known fairytales, such as Cinderella, The Snow Queen, The Musicians of Bremen etc, and accompanied by the singing choir, theatrical performance, or light shows.

The winner of the Golden Time Talent 2024 Oksana Merhut is performing for the first time in the UK!

EVENT INFORMATION

* ACCESSIBLE SEATING is available from the box office in person, or by calling 01404 384050, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

* All ticket prices include a £1 booking fee.
* The Beehive operates a NO REFUND policy on ticket purchases. Please make sure you are able to attend the event before purchasing your tickets.
* The Beehive has a fully licensed bar which we open 1 hour before events begin – Bringing your own alcohol in is strictly Prohibited.
* Our bar is manned by our fantastic volunteers, at busy times the wait may be a little longer than normal, please be patient whilst they serve everyone.
* Only food purchased at The Beehive can be consumed on the premises, unless a specific ‘bring your own event’ has been advertised
