Icescape Westpoint

Wrap yourself up and take to the rink as indoor ice skating comes to Westpoint Exeter until 5th January. Fun for all the family, there's a variety of sessions to book including parent and toddler, quiet times and even disco nights.

Panto season

Too late to catch the panto? Underground Passages

Stories of wars and sieges, plague and pestilence, may not sound very festive but did you know guided tours of Exeter's Underground Passages have taken place since the 1930s. Even more impressive is that Exeter can lay claim to being the only city in the UK to have underground passages of this type. Not everyone can say they've walked beneath the streets of Exeter this Christmas!

For a some fascinating history this festive season then look no further than Exeter's historic quayside, home to the Custom House Visitor Centre. Housing displays, illustrations and artefacts which bring the history and development of Exeter’s Quayside to life, it's free to explore and an ideal starting point for a winter stroll along the riverside.

Rugby and football

Exeter Chiefs play host to Gloucester on 29th December as the West Country rivals clash at Sandy Park. It's sure to be a sell-out as Chiefs aim to record their first win of the season. If you prefer your football action then Exeter City FC have a double-bill between Christmas and New Year, welcoming Bristol Rovers (Boxing Day) and Crawley Town (29th December) to St James Park.
