About

Exeter has numerous cycle routes (including bus and cycle lanes) as well as quiet roads identified as part of a cycle network. These have been constructed to help cyclists and provide a route away from busier and heavier traffic.

Everywhere around the city is within a 30 minute bike ride and as one of six Cycling Demonstration Towns across England. Cycling facilities in Exeter are excellent, so whether you are a local resident or a first time visitor to Exeter, the bicycle is the perfect way to get around and explore the city.

An Exeter Cycle Map is available from the Exeter Tourist Information Centre or by emailing environment@devon.gov.uk, at www.cycledevon.info. The Cycle Devon website also has information on bike and hire shops in Exeter and the Exe Estuary area.
